The friarbirds are four species of honeyeaters in the genus Philemon:

  • Helmeted Friarbird, Philemon buceroides
    Silver-crowned Friarbird, Philemon argenticeps
    Noisy Friarbird, Philemon corniculatus
    Little Friarbird, Philemon citreogularis

They are found in eastern Australia and southern New Guinea. They eat nectar, insects and other invertebrates, flowers, fruit and seeds.
